Terms
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Developers Of Detroit. By accessing or using the service, users agree to these terms.
Using the Service
The service is provided as a platform for job listings, recruiting activity, and candidate application workflows. Users must use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
You may not misuse the service by interfering with normal operation, attempting unauthorized access, scraping in violation of applicable law or posted restrictions, introducing malicious code, impersonating another person, harvesting personal information, or using the platform to discriminate or violate employment laws.
Accounts and Content
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for activity occurring under their accounts.
You are responsible for the information, resumes, job postings, company information, cover letters, and other content you submit. You must have the rights necessary to submit that content and it must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
By submitting content to the service, you grant the operator a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the platform.
Employer and Candidate Responsibilities
Employers are responsible for ensuring their job postings, hiring practices, screening criteria, and use of candidate information comply with applicable employment, anti-discrimination, privacy, consumer protection, and recordkeeping laws.
Candidates are responsible for the truthfulness and legality of the information they submit and for ensuring they have the right to provide any third-party references or materials included in an application.
No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee that any job posting will result in an interview, offer, hire, or applicant, or that the platform will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error free.
Listings may be removed, edited, delayed, or unavailable at any time, and the operator may suspend or terminate access to protect users or the platform.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities arising from or related to use of the service.
Termination, Changes, and Governing Law
The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or these terms at any time. Updated terms will apply when posted, unless a different effective date is stated.
Additional provisions, including governing law, venue, dispute resolution, arbitration, class action waiver, and notice procedures, should be reviewed with counsel and tailored to the actual business entity and jurisdiction before production launch.
Important Compliance Note
These terms are a general platform baseline drafted for a job board. They should be reviewed by counsel and customized before relying on them as your final legal terms.
